Allotment hoops...hooray!!!

We received a newsletter from the allotment association saying that on a saturday morning they would have a stall going between 10-12am with several different things on sale. One of the sale items which immediately caught my eye was 'blue water pipe for hoops'. So off I went at the weekend to purchase some hoops.

Armed with my hoops I approached my nets and quite happily pulled them all up!!! (much more satisfying and easier than putting them in!!)

I am a proud owner of a well constructed netting system.(and it adds a lovely splash of colour!!)

I didn't really know what I was doing or how long to cut the hoops but I was armed with a saw and away I went. I had a few mishaps...and a few bits left over as I had different length hoops but I got there in the end!! Pulling up the nets also gave me the chance to weed round my growing veggies!!

My onions are coming along very nicely this year :-)
