Planting on the allotment...

Well planting season is upon us and my seedlings are ready to go in. I had quite a few weeds to remove before I could start with my planting and this was every time I went down but that is to be expected I guess. I don't really have that man photos of whilst i planted so I am just going to write a brief diary update of what went in when!!

Down this side...arron pilot first early potatoes, maris piper second early potatoes, leeks, marrows, brussels and runnerbeans.

2nd May...planted out Runner Beans and Brussels.

3rd May...Planted out cauliflowers, cabbages and beetroot.

Friday 9th May...got some weeding done and planted out leeks!!!

10th May...planted out Chillis. Bought some more hoops and got the brassicas all netted.

11th May...sowed Radish seeds straight in the ground and put some cucumber seeds in trays in the garden.

18th May...planted out Marrows.

Down this side....parsnips (which really don't seem to be growing) peas, carrots, beetroot, cauliflower, cabbages, chillis and radishes.

So this is what my allotment is looking like...a few weeds to dig out further down which I will get done next week,(beginning of June!) not that I have anything to plant there as my corn didn't grow...sniff!!
