Well today I had my first installment of manure delivered. I don't have to worry about contamination as it is being provided to me by my cousin who has pigs and has now become my supplier in exchange for some veg...plus he has way too much for his garden...can't you just smell that lovely country air as I shovel it onto a manure pile...breath deep all!
Don't you just love it!!!!!
( I decided not to photo the pig shit but if you insist I can oblige!)

PPPPigs.... PPPPowerful stuff, Tany.
ReplyDeleteLiving and working in a rural community I often get to experience the wonderful aroma...lol Every now and then a customer will come in who is obviously a farmer, my comment is always "well isn't he farm fresh"
ReplyDeleteSounds like you got a good deal there with your cousin.
Sounds like you've got a good arrangement with your cousin.
ReplyDeleteGets the heart a racing, my next plot visit would be to manure a the brassicus bed, you can keep the picture though.
ReplyDeleteBet you're popular with the neighbours.
ReplyDeleteWe are quite literally over the road from a dairy farm (only one track separates our driveways!) so we often get 'L'eau d'cow' wafting our way!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good smell if you're in a garden or on a farm. I always remember that smell from certain areas on my grandparents' farm. I think a picture would have been just fine.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are high on the smells there Tanya :D
ReplyDeleteHmmm...yes. It's especially 'good' when I'm sitting by the open window having lunch.
ReplyDelete;-)
