Yes I know it's Saturday but never mind!!
The weather has steadily warmed up over the week and we have even had some double figures temperature wise getting up to 13 degrees Celsius at one point.
Although the temperatures have steadily warmed up the weather has been varied with a mixture of rain, sleet, wind, sun and cloud....so typically British really!!!
The nights are really drawing out now and if you look to the west at 6:30pm you can still see a little light on the horizon (providing it's a clear evening!!)
I am looking forward to getting started sowing some seeds next weekend and also getting my garden at home tidied up. My lawns desperately need cutting and if the rain holds off for another day I am hoping to give them a spruce up tomorrow!!
Hope you all enjoy your weekend.

You've got green grass already?!
ReplyDeleteJealous!
tpals...we have green grass all winter....it's only really dry summers when it tends not to be very green!!
DeleteWe're forecast some warmer weather next week again, I do hope they're right.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed for that warmer weather for all of us Jo!!
DeleteI'm still ill but the hubby was out sorting out our last raised bed in the garden today. It's been really lovely sunshine here for the last few days so I'm looking forward to getting going as well! Good luck with your seed sowing next weekend - what's on the menu?
ReplyDeleteGlad your Hubby is giving you a hand...at least then when you're better you'll be able to get stuck straight in!!
DeleteSeed sowing post to come!!
I wasn't reading blogs on Friday so I wouldn't have seen this till today anyway :)
ReplyDeleteWe have very cold temperatures here and windy.
To answer your question about the seagull pictures I posted the other day. I did that sketch in photoshop. No way can I draw anything more than a stick figure :)
Thanks Ann for not minding about the post being late!!
DeleteHope the wind soon blows away and gives you more settled weather.
Whether you drew the seagull by hand or through a programme I am still very impressed!!
Dear Tanya, It is cold and windy here, but this winter has overall been warmer than usual. Blessings, Catherine xo
ReplyDeleteWind is the weather I hate most as it can cause so much damage...hope it calms down soon.
DeleteDear Tanya,
ReplyDeleteThank you for commenting on my post about my easter bunny-Etsy treasuries (I did two, so you may want to return and look at the second one, if you have time.)
It is still cold and windy here in Sweden, but the snow has melted in Norrkoping, where I live. Since the divorce almost a year ago, and moving from our town house to a small flat/apartment, I don't have my own garden. But I can follow the changing of the seasons by strolling by the back gardens of my former neighbours. I also have plans to have potted flowers and herbs in my 'glassed-in' balcony.
I'm thinking of documenting my mince meat pie-project. I'm not a drinker, so I'll have to take a trip to the special government monopoly store for wines and spirits, 'Systembolaget'. I'm thinking about purchasing dark rum. I could also see if they have raisin wine.
Thank you so much for your mince meat recipe.
Best wishes & hugs,
Anna

You're very welcome on the recipe Anna...if there are any more you would like to try then don't hesitate to ask and I will do my best.
DeleteGlad the snow is finally melting in Sweden.....I know you are a little behind us in seasons yet my friends Dad who lives in Ytterby said spring seems to be coming a little early to you too!!
You can grow so much more in pots than just flowers and herbs..maybe you should give a few veggies or some fruit a try too?? It's nice to grow your own and the children learn so much from it.
Good look at the Systembolaget, I'm not a huge drinker either which was why I used just what I had left in the cupboard rather then but a lot of something that wouldn't get used.
Sleet? Really?
ReplyDeleteYes...we had sleet...i was really shocked and was worried it might turn to snow but thankfully it didn't and when the sun came out again it soon dried off all the paths!!
DeleteWarmer weather is quickly becoming my choice.
ReplyDeleteI can believe that Ratty...though your snow look very pretty!!
