Friday Forecast...week 12....23/03/12

Well after a terrible start over the weekend of severe heavy rain it has turned into a beautiful week.

Sunshine and warmth have kept me happy all week.

The temperatures haven't been amazingly high but you have been able to go out in just a t-shirt and jumper although I have seen the odd mad person going round in flip flops and shorts!!

Beautiful blue skies.

Temperatures have ranged between 12 and 14 degrees during the day...warmer if you have been out of the breeze.

Evening temperatures have been between 4 and 8 degrees (give or take!!)

The weekend outlook is promising and I hope the Met office are true to their word so I can get some serious work done on the allotment in nice sunshine!!

  1. No pouring rain for us.
The other week one madman on our site was shirtless. He seems to take off his top at the drop of the hat - don't know why as he is no oil painting and neither is he in the first flush of youth! He struts around as though he is though - Why is it that we never see ourselves as others see us?

    1. Hate to say it but we could probably do with some of that rain...it's not particularly dry below the surface in my neck of the woods but they have already issued us with hose pipe bans!

  5. It's been brilliant here for the last few days but as of today we're back in late winter. Can you believe that N. Ireland and Scotland may have snow over the weekend?

  6. Here in Norrkoping, in middle Sweden, southwest of Stockholm, a little north of the UK, the crocus and snow drops are blooming. Today I saw some tiny green leaves beginning to sprout out of buds. It's still cool, but a jacket is all you need, no gloves unless you are riding your bike. Then the wind-chill factor makes me want to wear my gloves and something over my ears.

    Enjoy your good spring weather!
