Overripe Banana |
In our house we eat a lot of fruit...but sometimes it ends up a little over ripe like these banana's you see here and I hate to waste them but we only like to eat them on there own whilst still firm so that is when we start making milkshake!!
peeled banana |
First peel your banana.....
Half glass of milk |
Banana Milkshake |
Great for the kids and adults too!!
Drink immediately!!
Delicious!
Oh and just to let you know...managed to get down the allotment today and get that final bit of weeding finished before the heavens opened up!!
oooh a banana milk shake sounds good. I love bananas but always seem to end up with some over ripe ones
ReplyDeleteWell give it a go Ann...it really does taste great!!
DeleteYum yum :) We make shakes here on a regular basis but I usually use yogurt instead of milk. Will keep this tip in mind for those days we're out of it though!
ReplyDeleteI've never made my shakes with yoghurt Tanya...we don't tend to have natural yoghurt in very often. This is a really thick and creamy one to have....the texture from just adding a banana is amazing.
DeleteHi Tanya,
ReplyDeleteThe banana milk shake sounds great. Bananas are very good to eat, nutrious, low-fat and tasty!
Which reminds me that I need to go out and buy food. 'My cupboard is bare!'
Thank you for your interesting comments on my different A to Z -posts. You are right about the monkey-puzzle-tree. I am so glad that I am aquainted with someone like you who knows about plants! I will edit my text.
There is a descendant of the plant that became the jet, and it is native to South America. I think somewhere in the Andes. Victoria Finlay mentions this. A Brit took a plant to the UK and that is why there are monkey-puzzle trees in British gardens.
I have finished scheduling my posts for A to Z. All of the Etsy treasuries are done too. The Craftcult widgets are ready too. So now I can visit other bloggers or do minor corrections. (But I have to do my taxes first!)
Best wishes,
Anna
Hope you get to try out the milkshake!!
DeleteI wouldn't say I know a lot about plants but it's always great to learn new things and I think the internet and blogging such as we do is a great way to find things out. Thanks for telling me how the monkey tree came to end up in the U,K,...is sure is a wonderful tree to see.
Good luck with those taxes!
I use over ripe bananas in buns, not quite as healthy as your milkshake.
ReplyDeleteWe make cake too Jo....but the milkshake is just so quick and easy!
DeleteThat's great thanks very much, just made it with my daughter, took a few seconds and lovely frothy milkshake!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it!
DeletePity isn't it that weeds regrow - you just think you've cracked it and up they pop again.
ReplyDeleteI know Sue...at one time when I first got my allotment it felt like by the time I had got to one end that the start was as bad again. Now the soil is better worked it isn't so hard but none the less it is still a year round activity....I do love to see it all freshly done though so I try to keep on top of it...just doesn't always quite work out..lol
Deletea favorite of ours!! I use yogurt a lot too for a banana smoothie! yum.
ReplyDeleteI love juice and I love fruit and I love milkshake...I have to own up to not being a smoothie fan though.. :-(
