The Categories
Well every year for as long as I can remember this event has taken place. Over recent years interest has not been as great and I am hoping that we can get it to take off again. It isn't open to just allotment holders or villagers but anyone who wants to enter. I have to admit to never having entered before but this year I am trying to get into the community spirit a bit more and so I am entering several categories...I have circled the ones I want to enter.

If you live close enough by and want to visit we would love to see you. You can either enter something or just come for a drink and the auction in the evening.Prizes aren't huge but is more about getting involved and seeing how other people have got on rather than the prizes. Lets just hope we get a decent turn out!!

  1. Dear Tanya, That sounds like fun. It is nice to get to see everyone and say hello.
I hope you win a prize. I am sure that you will.
p.s. half and half is like light cream.
    Blessings dear. Catherine xo

I am not bothered about winning anything...I am just happy to have taken part!!

Thanks for letting me know what 'half and half' is.

    1. I think things are going that way since technology hit us Ann...more and more people just don't want to get involved within there communities like they used to, it's far to easy to stay behind closed doors and yet feel like you have been 'socialising'. Plus so many people move around these days that you don't get to know your neighbours like you used to.

  3. I'm impressed that you have three plums to enter - that would have almost been our total harvest this year - all now eaten! Good Luck - hope you win loads!

    1. I have no plums down the allotment but a few of the tree at home. Don't think I'll be making any jam this year though :-(

  4. I've always been interested in events like this. Maybe I'll find one now that I live in a farming area.

    1. I hope you do Ratty....maybe you can find an amazing adventure within the event too?!?!?!

Do you think they would let a 'rat' in amongst all those fresh veggies?

  5. Our local show is on the same day, though I don't think I'll be able to make it this year. As you say, it's important for people to support these shows otherwise they'll cease to exist. I've never entered anything, but I do always try to go and support it. Hope you get a good turnout.
