Proof in Pictures.

Well my last few posts have been all text so finally today when I went to water the greenhouse I took the camera with me so you can see that I'm not making up all of my ramblings, just hover over the pictures for an explanation and click on them to enlarge!!

really bad photo of the broad beans starting to shoot.taragon and parsley have returnde for another year.

The last few cabbages from last year.Rainbow chard giving it another go for a second year.

Fruit bushes look promisingSome potoatoes that were over-wintered (purely due to laziness last year!)

Autumn planted garlic looking healthyNot everywhere is tidy though, still a few weeds to come up!
So that's how things are looking at the minute. I am still trying to get the garden tidied up too. I was hoping to get some salad leaves in the tubs outside the greenhouse this week but the the radio yesterday said that the temperatures will dip again at the weekend and we could get more snow. I hope they are wrong but won't go full steam ahead just yet!!

  1. I never doubted you Tanya. Is the fruit tree with buds a cherry?

    1. Thanks Sue!!

Yes it's the cherry tree I bought last year at the edible garden show. Hoping to get at least a little bit of fruit this year!

  2. Dear Tanya, It looks like everything is peeking through.

My daughter planted our seeds the same way with the newspaper for a wrap. It is so handy. It can just be placed in the ground that way.

We do have a lot of work to do also.

The weather here today is very cold. It seems like spring is not just around the corner.

I hope that all is well. Blessings and a hug dear friend. Catherine xo

p.s. - It would be fun if we lived closer, but it is such a blessing that we became friends.

    1. Nearly everything has made an appearance now Cathe3rine. Just one or two things a bit slower to germinate so I didn't photograph them.

I love using paper pots as it is convenient and also helps mulch the ground...plus you don't risk damaging the roots when planting out.

Hope you get spring very soon and that the snow doesn't return for a good long while in the UK...I think we have all had enough of it now!

It would be great to live closer....we could then get together and come up with wonderful new recipes together with produce picked from my garden. But you never know, maybe one day you will be visiting England and then you could pop in to see us. xx

Blessing to you and Tammy. x

    1. It is so disheartening when that happens Ratty. What were you planting?

It is predicted our snow may return at the weekend but I am hoping that things will change!

  5. You've got so much on the go. My first batch of sowings are doing well so I really must get my next lot on the go. I'd heard that the weather was going to change again but I hadn't heard we were forecast more snow, I do hope they've got it wrong.

  8. It looks like you've been really busy and your seedlings are coming along well. I really hope there's no more snow coming your way, I think we all deserve a really good summer this year to make up for the miserable weather.

  9. Lots going on in your greenhouse. It's been a busy week here with everything needing to be potted on in our covered yard/garage which acts as our greenhouse away from the allotment. (I like the hover info over each photo). Looking forward to seeing more very soon....

    1. It is really packed out in the greenhouse this year with everything needing to go in at once. It won't be long before I will be potting on or hardening off to plant out so fingers crossed the weather cooperates!

  10. Oooh Tanya! That's how I started my seeds this year too! :D I have to post pics...I know I promised a while back but I just haven't gotten the chance yet....They're flourishing though! (Thank goodness!) I cannot wait to get them into the ground...but the yard is a big mess which I have to tackle....something I'm not looking forward to.

Looks like they're coming along wonderfully though :D

    1. I like to start my seeds off this way as then you know exactly what you have to plant and are less likely to end up with gaps in your garden that aren't really big enough to do anything with.

As for the tackling the yard. Just do it in sections and complete one bit before moving on to the next. That way you'll find you are making progress without being overwhelmed by the enormity of the job you have to carry out!
