Lots to write..but just too tired!!

It's been a bit of a hectic week and to be honest I'm kind of cream crackered so don't want to sit here and write very much.

Instead I thought today I would just show some cool sky pictures which I took a week ago whilst up the allotment.
Stormy skies
Stormy Skies.......

Sunshine to the north-east
With a promise beyond.
The two photos were actually taken just moments apart...one the stormy one looking towards the south-west and the sunny one looking towards the north-east. I always think what an amazing thing the sky can be.

21st of June today which is the longest day for us here in the UK, this means that after today the days will start to get shorter...and yet so far we have had very little warmth.

Oh well, the sun is out at the moment so maybe we will get the benefit of the longest day this year!

I'm hoping for some dry weather this weekend so I can get some much needed weeding done!!

    3. Haha Cream crackered = knackered. I don't think that's swearing is it? My mum wouldn't like it, but then she doesn't like 'shutup' either :-)

  2. It was strange today. Cloudy and overcast with threat of rain this morning and suddenly lovely warm and sunny this afternoon. As it happened the right way round for us as we went plotting in the afternoon.

  3. We were hot and humid today with storms building. The first passed us by to the north but brought a lovely cool breeze. I've been pulling weeds and enjoying the coolness. :)

    1. I have plenty of weeds to pull, here's hoping the weather cooperates and and can get rid of a few over the weekend.

  5. HahaI forgot about 'cream crackered' which I am feeling right now, the sky in your photos is currently matching what I have here now. Possibly no weeding this weekend for me.

    1. I pray that we both get some dry weather to get some weeding done!! That's the main problem with the rain, it's as good for the weeds as it is for the gardens!!

  6. The sky here at the moment looks very much like the one in your first photo. Typical really as hubby and son haven't long since left home to play in a cricket match. I've put a photo of the cotoneaster on my blog as you requested, it's quite a common shrub so I'm sure you'll know it.

  7. I spent five hours weeding almost constantly here in Wales yesterday. Very cream crackering indeed! Thank goodness I did because it is now grey, raining and v windy. Typical Welsh summer then. :)

  8. I'm back to answer your question about the dried orange slices. I'm planning on using them in some craft projects. They will most likely end up on some garlands
