Dear Tanya, So nice to visit with you. I have been behind in my visits and have missed you. I hope that I am back in the swing of things once again. I am not quite sure but perhaps that is some type of bee. I hope all is well with you. I browsed through your posts and it looks like you have been quite busy with a new shed and bench and planting. Trojan looks very good and happy. Tammy and I only planted seeds yesterday in egg cartons. I hope it is not too late, though it still has been quite chilly here. The trees or shrubs have not even begun to blossom yet, so perhaps it will be o.k.. I could keep chatting since I have so much to catch up. Take good care, hugs and Blessings, Catherine xo
It's a bee fly. I've never seen one before, or even knew they existed, but this is the third I've seen on blogs just lately. I wonder if that's because they're numbers have increased and they're becoming more common.
I'm not sure about the bug. But it looks like fruit fly that use the stinger to take its egg into the inner side of fruit. btw really love to see your garden progress. So exciting and inspiring. Endah-Indonesia
I have no idea what it is but I'm pretty sure I don't want it coming near me
ReplyDeleteI think it would be more scared of you Ann.

Your guess is very close Catherine.
DeleteIt looks like a bee fly - great photo! I wonder if it thinks the screw is a flower?
ReplyDeleteIs there anything you don't know Sue. I was quite pleased with the photo...especially as I took a couple and then the camera battery died.

DeleteGlad you are enjoying the blog.
I don't know what it is but you got a good shot of it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda...it was an incredibly rushed few shots as the batteries in the camera were dying so I was surprised any of them were decent!!
