A little adventure and a little bit closer.

So I did get down the allotment for a couple of hours and I did take my camera with me but unfortuntely I didn't take any photos...not to worry though as Annabel took plenty yesterday and I will share a few of them with you now.

So there you go, some wonderful pictures form Annabel, She really is a great little photographer.

That's right.....I was going to tell you what I had been doing down the allotment.....not much to be honest. I got the brassica and bean seed sown in the greenhouse and will hopefully get back tomorrow to get the squash and sweetcorn in.

Other than that I was giving Juliette a hand with her plot for a bit and we burnt some rubbish.

Not the most interesting of days nn the the plot but very productive and satisfying none the less!              As for my little adventure, you'll have to visit here to find out all about that!!

  1. Blinking weeds, they get everywhere. I need to scrabble around under the fruit bushes after which should prove to be fun. It sounds like you had a productive day.

    1. We did have a lovely day, working with friends always makes hose menial tasks more fun.

The weeds may be a nuisance...but they make great photo subjects!!

  2. How lovely to have a little photographer on the plot with you. We used to have a robin on our old plot which would come and watch us whilst we dug, waiting for the worms to be uncovered I expect. It's been great having some nice weather over the bank holiday so that we could get some jobs done on the plot.

    1. It is lovely to have a little buddy to help out...I gave her the camera after she had done a lot of work digging out the pond so she could have some fun for a while!!

  3. The bee swarming sounded exciting. One of our plot neighbours once had a mini swarm congregate on the eaves of his shed. They can't have read Wakefield council's no bee policy. Maybe news got around though as they moved on.

    1. Shame you can't have bees as they really are wonderful creatures to be around. t must have been a 'cast' swarm if it was only small...that was the word I couldn't remember when I wrote the post over on the bee blog!!

    1. She certainly did Ann. When I think about it I didn't really realise what a beautiful day we had been blessed with until I looked back through the photos!!
