| That's right.....I was going to tell you what I had been doing down the allotment.....not much to be honest. I got the brassica and bean seed sown in the greenhouse and will hopefully get back tomorrow to get the squash and sweetcorn in. |

Blinking weeds, they get everywhere. I need to scrabble around under the fruit bushes after which should prove to be fun. It sounds like you had a productive day.
ReplyDeleteWe did have a lovely day, working with friends always makes hose menial tasks more fun.
DeleteThe weeds may be a nuisance...but they make great photo subjects!!
How lovely to have a little photographer on the plot with you. We used to have a robin on our old plot which would come and watch us whilst we dug, waiting for the worms to be uncovered I expect. It's been great having some nice weather over the bank holiday so that we could get some jobs done on the plot.
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely to have a little buddy to help out...I gave her the camera after she had done a lot of work digging out the pond so she could have some fun for a while!!
DeleteThe bee swarming sounded exciting. One of our plot neighbours once had a mini swarm congregate on the eaves of his shed. They can't have read Wakefield council's no bee policy. Maybe news got around though as they moved on.
ReplyDeleteShame you can't have bees as they really are wonderful creatures to be around. t must have been a 'cast' swarm if it was only small...that was the word I couldn't remember when I wrote the post over on the bee blog!!
DeleteIt looks like it was a beautiful day. Annabelle captured it well
ReplyDeleteShe certainly did Ann. When I think about it I didn't really realise what a beautiful day we had been blessed with until I looked back through the photos!!
DeleteGreat photo's! I love the one of the horse. It really looks like country where you are. Blessings dear. Catherine
ReplyDeleteI am very forutnate to live where I do Catherine as although we aren't far from a town i am surrounded by wonderful countryside.
