Anyway my Dad was having a driveway put in and so the kerbing stones which were taken out the builders said I could have...grat for the greenhouse base. I have four and they weigh ten stone each so that greenhouse will be going nowhere!!
So the hard bit was getting the blocks up to the relevant plot and into the ground...hard but worth it!
I have to say it was made a little easier as the builders bought the blocks down from my dads to the end of the allotments in the bucket of the dump truck.
Okay so the pictures are pretty boring...but you get the idea...digging the holes was made easier with the help of the tiller!
Now all that's left to do is get the greenhouse...I'll show you where it is,
It's all the way over next to the bee plot... |
and there you have it! Quite a way to carry it but I think it will be a relatively easy move! . |
Pity you could have made a lower bid had you known. Will you need to take the glass out before moving or have you lots of big strong helpers?
ReplyDeleteI know Sue, would be great to see into the future sometimes.I think I will take the glass out the sides and then get help with a lift. Not sure I want to risk carrying it with all the glass in.
DeleteThat looks like a lot of work. Enjoy the new greenhouse
ReplyDeleteIt was quite hard but I'm sure bit will be worth it!
DeleteYou give me the idea to put a couple of my smaller buildings to use for something. I've only been in them a few times since I've lived here. I'll need to go clean them out.
ReplyDeleteSo what are you going to use them for Ratty??
DeleteI'm not sure yet, but they're just sitting there waiting for me. There's a lot of work to do around here that I've never done.
DeleteI've been catching up on your news by reading what you've been doing during the last month. You've been very busy working on your allotments and helping others too. It's all looking very good. You must be pleased with the result so far.
ReplyDeleteI am pleased Linda...and optimistic for the coming season.
