We go camping quite a bit, OH likes glamping but the boys are in the Scouts so like open fires and stuff.
My favourite are beach barbeques - when we went to Brittany the other year a fisherman came over and gave us a couple of his fish he had cleaned for us - I was really touched a special memory! We also enjoyed scavanging for shellfish there but we've still not managed to catch a sausage. I would like to catch a rabbit but they are to wiley for me and too busy eating the winter broad beans.

That is the thing with camping...it does mean you can experience a lot more as the cost is cheaper. I hope you enjoy your trip and that the weather is kind to you.

I think it is nice to get back to nature in any way we feel comfortable with. So many people when going on holiday like to spend their time lounging round pools in the sun...it's not for me though....I like to be experiencing something!!

Fab info. We're going camping in the Yeovil/Exmoor-Wales coast area in April, should be a good laugh and leave us with more spends for things like learning to surf and visit Cheddar Gorge and other stuff we don't even know about yet.

Must admit camping really isn't my thing - never has been. We have been renting cottages in the country (France, England, Wales and this year it will be Scotland) and get back to nature that way. But like you our holiday cooking is basic as you don't really want to be spending loads of time cooking and shopping for food.
